Our first Cask Club Owners fill their casks
We have been welcoming the first members of our private cask community along to our distillery to fill their casks in person and what an experience it has been. It has been a privilege to meet cask owners from across the country (and further afield) in St Andrews and give them a first look at our new distillery. Hearing the stories from our community about why they have bought a cask with us, and what it means to them, has been inspiring.
We've caught up with some of our cask owners to find out about their experience, here's what they had to say.
Robert Cunnion
"I really enjoyed the cask fill experience. It was great to have a personal tour of the building and Finlay was great at explaining what was going on. Seeing the cask sitting there and then being filled felt really special and it was great to knock the stopper in and sign it. It's become an incredible facility and no doubt it has a very strong future which is great for us cask owners! Thank you!"

"Being a Cask Club member at Eden Mill has been a genuinely special experience. Having the chance to be there in person to fill my cask, alongside friends and fellow St Andrews alumni, made it a memorable day. "We brought some guests along to my private cask filling experience at Eden Mill's new distillery. Everyone involved had an amazing time from being shown around the new stills and wash backs to when it came to filling the casks. Everyone had a great time, the best part is when the bung goes in! I bought a couple of casks from the Eden Mill distillery as I have my roots locally, I have always been in the East Neuk of Fife and have been a fan of their whisky for a number of years. I thought it would be great to own some of it and to be a part of it too. I'm looking forward to seeing what else Eden Mill does in the future."

"We had a great all around experience of getting to see the new Eden Mill state of the art distillery and having the pleasure of filling our own cask of whisky and getting to sample the whisky. Chris & Scott were both great hosts with amazing love & knowledge of Eden Mill & the whisky.
Pat and I got the idea of purchasing the cask of whiskey while we were both sitting on a beach in Bohol, Philippines during the week of my wedding in December 2022. My dad, who is a big whiskey collector, suggested that Pat and I purchase a cask of whisky and had some information on the 1655 club from Eden Mill.
We did some research on this and decided to invest in 1 cask of whisky between the both of us. The main reason for the investment is that we will leave it long term for the time being and let the whiskey mature. We have no plans at the moment for taking the whisky out before it has aged at least 18 years old.
We will be looking to visit the new distillery once the new bar area is open for business and we can come have a look/taste of our whisky. Once we become famous faces for Eden Mill, we can retire, play golf and drink Eden Mill whisky!
