The second in the series of our Hip Flask Release has been matured in US Virgin Oak Octaves and at 47% imparts a slightly sweeter character with elements of candied vanilla.
From sweet cinnamon, walnuts and pepper on the nose. This Chocolate Malt based scotch whisky exudes a real subtle spice and a full-bodied sweetness.
On the front, the cinnamon flavours follow through on the palate with bursts of warmth, malt and grain, with hints of sweet chocolate and coffee.
The maturation in American Virgin Octaves imparts a pale straw appearance and a light subtle creamy sweetness like no other.
Dessert flavours follow through on the palate with bursts of Christmas pudding adding a depth of flavour to this whisky that is both delicious and full-flavoured. The subtle lift of burnt oranges to finish imparts a complex, lingering finish.
