After five years of brewing and distilling practice, we at Eden Mill have conquered the art of beer, gin and whisky. When people asked us what we wanted to tackle next, we decided to set our sights on the wonderful world of liqueurs. Our distillers had the chance to experiment with their favourite flavours and after numerous taste tests and tinkering, we think we've made something pretty incredible.
Eden Mill are finally ready to release our very first range of gin liqueurs, each one made with a base of our super-smooth Slackwater Gin. We wanted the flavour of our gin to shine through and with the Slackwater's base of heavy juniper, earthy beetroot and sweet coconut, it does just that. After infusing the gin with our chosen fruits and spices we add our simple syrup solution to bring the sugar levels up and the ABV down – at 25% our liqueurs really pack a punch.
We've put together three liqueurs, each one completely unique and entirely delicious. Our Pear and Cassia combines the sweetness of fresh pear with the fiery touch of cassia bark and is a wonderful addition to a frozen Margarita. For a sweeter style of liqueur, our Strawberry and Cracked Black Pepper is bursting with fragrant strawberry and a spicy, savoury pepper finish. Our Lemon and Raisin is the perfect melding of flavours with the sharp citric burst of lemon and a healthy dose of dessert-sweet raisins.
For a perfect serve, try our liqueurs over ice in our Gin Liqueur Goblet topped with soda, a dash of bitters and your favourite fresh garnish. Or splash a measure into your favourite glass of fizz for a fruity, and feisty, kick.
